Laura and Todd's Wedding

I get the luxury of falling in love over and over again. No I'm not fickle (and my heart is always with Jeannie!). I get to share the most fantastic brides' dreams and share wedding days with wonderful couples over and over. I'm so blessed!

Laura and Todd are educated, beautiful and from great, supportive families. What a treat to get to share their wedding day! I think they have it made!

With nasty rain predicted, we hurried to get outdoor photographs completed. But the rain didn't come. And then I held my breath during their ceremony... and the rain didn't come. It was on the way to the reception that the blowing deluge came. It was only an inconvenience at that point and Laura had her perfect day!

Once inside the Read House, the worries of the rainy day faded and the splendor of the Silver Ball Room shined. I believe that Morgan from Soirees worked her magic and truly made the Ballroom the most magnificent I've ever seen it. It always lives up to the elegant and storied history it embraces, but Laura's was the best! It was a perfect setting to celebrate their wedding!

A New Portrait for Strasburg Children

Our good friend Nicole at Strasburg has asked us to create another portrait for her gallery in the Hamilton Place Mall in Chattanooga.

This morning, after several cancellations due to our very rainy spring, Alexandria and Tanner came to our portrait garden for their session. They were sporting beautiful, matching clothing from the Strasburg Spring line. The morning was spectacular, if chilly.

Oh, and Tanner and Alexandria were a joy to photograph. They were very good together.

We can't wait to see what Nicole chooses for her gallery.

Baylor Prom

Baylor's Prom was held a couple weeks ago. Katie's group met at Carolyn's house for photos. What a lush place for pictures, and what a gorgeous brow view!

McCallie Prom

I had fun with Tyler's friends who were getting ready for McCallie Prom this past weekend. It was a little tricky keeping everyone out of the mud! Look for more photos on Facebook!

Pretty big thrill for the parents/paparazzi, too!

Cameron

I photographed Cameron's mother, Katie, for the first time many, many years ago. And then I photographed Katie and Jason's wedding.

I'm now thrilled to get to photograph young, miss Cameron. It's so fulfilling to see what a good, loving mom Katie has become.

Mary Helen's Senior Portraits

I haven't photographed a high school senior in a while... usually I'm the one chasing the little ones with a camera.

What a pleasure to meet such an accomplished, warm, and articulate young woman.

She attends Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences and can't quite make up her mind yet from her many college options. I'm sure she'll choose well and excel!

Never without those boots!

Lindsey's LittleOnes Panel

Lindsey's panel of Sally turned out so cute!

We custom make these in true Black and White (as opposed to monochrome images on color paper), so they are fully archival. They come to our clients in double matted frames that they choose, and are ready to hang on their wall.

What a fantastic way to keep forever the marvelous variety of a baby's many expressions and moods.

Master Treadwell

Emmie and Ty brought little Frank to me today for his three month portraits. Frank had other ideas... I think he had been up partying too long. She told me he woke up from his nap way too early. They were on the way to Ty's mom's house in Columbus, GA and because of their hectic day to day timing, could not reschedule.

I think Frank really did very well, considering. He has the most engaging smile and his eyelashes are the envy of all the girls! What a flirt!

I can't wait for her to see all of the photographs.

Greg and Jeannie teach at TPPA Seminars in Chattanooga

We were honored this past weekend to be chosen by the Tennessee Professional Photographers Association to teach outdoor children's photography at our Spring Seminars at the Chattanooga ChooChoo. What a great time it is for us to get to see our associates from other parts of the state. Photographing children outdoors, one of our specialties, was our seminar topic.

Our models for the class were Grace and Sally from Signal Mountain. I hadn't seen them in a couple of years and didn't quite know what to expect from them. I can say without a doubt that they were AWESOME! Oh, and totally cute together. They paid attention and their patience made it easy both to photograph them and also to teach. Thank-you girls!

This morning was one of those I live for!!!

When Ann Thomas first came in with her mom and dad for her one year portrait session, she had other ideas. She really had not considered being brushed, groomed, made to put on a dress, and generally fussed over in this "strange" place with this noisy, silly man behind the camera.

She's every bit as expressive as her older sister, Elizabeth, that I photographed when she was one. Oh, and did I say busy?

Her first few photographs were a bit tentative. But through lots of patience (and bubbles!), though, she warmed up and eventually shined.

How fun it was to photograph her! I love these little ones...

Signal Mountain's New Junior Miss

MerylAnne Dexter was named Signal Mountain's Junior Miss for 2010 last Saturday night. It was undoubtedly a tough choice for the judges, but MerylAnne's singing and piano playing in the talent segment lifted her to the title.

MerylAnne (Right) is congratulated by Becca Feher, Signal Mountain Junior Miss 2009.

Sandi Henon, Chairman and Sponsor, loves her girls! Here she schmoozes with the winners: (L-R) Carolyn Jones (2nd Runner Up), Hannah Tumlin (First Runner Up), Sandi, MerylAnne (Signal Mountain's Junior Miss), and Emily Queen (3rd Runner Up). Sandi loves the girls and the girls love Sandi!

Congratulations MerylAnne!

She now begins her preparations for the Tennessee Junior Miss competition.

We wish her well!

Third Annual Signal Mountain Junior Miss Program

We gladly give our time and effort to supporting the annual scholarship program by providing all the photography and program book design. We were brought in as "Charter" supporters three years ago when Sandi Henon decided that Signal Mountain should have its own program, so the young women would not have to travel to compete for the scholarships.

This year's theme is "Being Superwoman". If these girls can keep up Sandi's schedule and demands, as well as juggle their busy lives, they are indeed Superwomen!

We are very impressed with them all and as usual, we don't think we "know" who will win. Ha! If only we could see into the future!

Laney has a new baby sister!

Just when we thought that miss Laney was the cutest baby anywhere, along comes little sister
Sally.

She was so much fun! ...and freely gave us her wonderful smile.

If she's this good at this very young age, we can't wait 'til she's older. I'm sure she's gonna get better and better!
